The Marketplace for Custom 3D Printing

3D Print Bounty connects people who need something 3D printed with independent makers who own the printers to do it — with escrow-protected payments, photo quality checks, and transparent competitive bidding.

Why We Built This

Millions of people own capable 3D printers that sit idle most of the week. Millions more need a one-off custom part — a discontinued appliance knob, a D&D miniature, a cosplay prop, a prototype — and have no printer, no slicer knowledge, and no interest in acquiring either.

The places these two groups met were broken. Industrial services quote factory prices for hobby jobs. Community forums pair strangers with no payment protection, and scams happen. Big peer-to-peer marketplaces in this space either shut down or pivoted to serving enterprises.

3D Print Bounty is the fix: a marketplace where posting a job is free, makers compete for your work, money is held in escrow until you approve photos of the finished print, and the platform takes a simple 10% fee only when a job completes. No subscriptions, no listing fees, no hidden markups.

What We Stand For

Escrow Before Everything

Payment sits in escrow until the buyer approves photos of the finished print. Nobody gets burned — not the buyer paying for work they have not seen, and not the maker shipping work they have not been paid for.

Makers Are Independent

We are not a print farm. Every print on 3D Print Bounty is made by an independent operator who owns their equipment, sets their own prices, and competes on quality and speed. Your money goes to a real person, minus a transparent 10% platform fee.

Transparent Bidding

Post a project and watch makers bid on it. You see each bid, each maker’s rating and project history, and their estimated turnaround — then you choose. No black-box instant quotes with hidden margins.

Quality Checked in Photos

Before anything ships, the maker uploads photos of the finished print for your approval. If it does not match what you approved when it arrives, our dispute process makes it right.

How We Make Money

We charge a 10% platform fee (minimum $2) on completed transactions. That fee covers payment processing, escrow protection, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and support. Shipping is passed through at carrier cost with no markup. That's the whole model — if a project doesn't complete, we don't earn anything.
